Place is located next to bars on a strip. There are several locations that are opened late on this strip . We originally came to the area for the Koran bbq but they closed early. The place is very open with a lot of spacing. It almost looks plain. The staff is very nice. I had the hibachi salmon entree. It came with a soup, rice, and a salad. I had the spring rolls as well. Very good and would recommend.
Had a phenomenal experience at Kumo! The staff was super friendly/polite/efficient/helpful. Sushi is always fresh and delish - and they will try to honor any special requests you might have (of which I'm never lacking). Wish they had an extra stash of uni and kumomoto oysters on hand for their regulars. Can't mention anything other than that - and that's not a complaint since they're just that good they fit off/out of the sushi bar!
Celebrated a birthday at Kumo on a Wednesday night. Before arriving, we had no idea they have a birthday special. If you show your ID and it's your birthday within 7 days, you get your meal for free! Awesome. We sat at the hibachi table and started off with some drinks. I got the Pom martini which was a bit too sweet but then followed it up with the mojito which was better. We got a couple of sushi rolls for the 8 of us to share: 2011 Roll, Sweet Heart roll. I have no complaints on the "show." We were all engaged with the chef and had a great time. I got the Filet Mignon and Chicken combination. Comes with soup, salad, shrimp and rice. It was good! I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
